🪴 Dungeon procedures are typically the most robust OSR procedures

Procedures are central to the 🌰 Old School Renaissance (OSR) Culture of Play (only Adventures are more central according to the OSR Onion). Historically, fantasy TTRPGs had a heavy focus on Dungeons, so it's only natural that the procedures for bringing them to life are the most robust.

These procedures are things like:

• Dungeon Turns
• Random Encounters
• Light
• Movement Speed
• etc.

These 🪴 Procedures act like enzymes, since they are essentially constraints, and 🪴 Constraints foster vivacity.

At least in most Systems, 🪴 Overworld exploration is more deeply abstracted than dungeon crawling though.
